Donnington by-election

UKIP Telford & Wrekin’s candidate for the Lilleshall, Donnington & Muxton Parish Council by-election is Tom Hoof.

Tom HoofLabour won an election for this ward in April only for their winning candidate to resign a month later to become a special constable.  Tom was our candidate for that election and came second with 26.6% of the vote.

There are only three candidates for this by-election: Tom Hoof, Rose Gregory and Cllr John Thompson.

Tom Hoof is Chairman of West Midlands Young Independence, UKIP’s youth wing.  He also represents Telford & Wrekin branch and the Shropshire county committee on UKIP’s regional committee for the West Midlands.

Cllr John Thompson is a Labour borough councillor for Park ward in Wellington, a parish councillor on Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council and a member of Shropshire Fire Authority.

Rose Gregory is a volunteer worker and former councillor and a member of Telford & Wrekin Council’s Co-operative Council Commission.
