On the campaign trail with Ryan Laing

Our small but dedicated team of volunteers has been out every day helping our Dawley by-election candidate Ryan Laing leaflet the area.

Ryan has been out every day since being confirmed as the candidate delivering leaflets and talking to local residents and businesses.  He’s been joined at various times by our local councillors, local members and even members from as far away as Stourbridge, Dudley and Bridgnorth who all want to help end the reign of the Labour Party in Dawley who have presided over the shambolic changes to Dawley High Street, the failure to collect rent on Dawley Town Hall for years and ignored the expert advice given to them on dodgy repairs to the roof of Dawley Social Club which resulted in such a large repair bill that the Labour-controlled council decided to cut their losses and sell it to the Social Club committee run by Labour councillors for a fraction of its value.

We were even out in the pouring rain today delivering leaflets to the last few streets we hadn’t managed to get to.  It was cold and wet but the positive comments we’ve been getting on the doorstep from people fed up of Labour and wanting change makes it all worthwhile.  A lone Conservative has been seen out and about delivering a home-made leaflet whilst nothing has been heard from the independent candidate.  It looks like the Dawley by-election is a two-horse race (no jokes about Tesco beefburger please!) and we’re hoping to send Labour’s horse to the knacker’s yard.
